Ensuring Our Patients Have the Best Care Possible
From immediate needs to long-term oral health improvements, Central Minnesota Endodontics is dedicated to providing all kinds of high-quality care for our patients.

What Do Endodontists Do Besides Root Canals?
Endodontists provide a host of treatment and care outside of root canals. From pain diagnosis to trauma treatment and a whole lot more, you can trust our expert endodontists to provide the treatment you need with the thoughtful consideration and care you deserve.
Pain Diagnosis & Treatment
Many times, it can be difficult for a dentist to locate the source of a patient’s pain. Endodontists are specially trained to differentiate between odontogenic (dental) and non-odontogenic (non-dental) pain. If your pain is dental in origin, we’ll determine which tooth is causing your pain and treat it accordingly.
Cracked Teeth
Like bones, teeth can develop cracks or fractures over time. Some can be minor, while others may be more serious and require special treatment. We are experienced in diagnosing cracked teeth and recommending the best treatment option based on the severity of the crack.
Traumatic Injuries
When it comes to dental trauma, time is of the essence. Our first priority is to ensure you have not suffered head trauma or a concussion. Once cleared, we’ll thoroughly examine your teeth and determine the best treatment based on the injury. After treatment, follow-up X-rays are essential, as traumatized teeth can behave differently from healthy ones and may require additional care. For more information on traumatic injuries, visit the American Association of Endodontists.
Pulpal Regeneration
Treating incompletely developed teeth used to be a significant challenge. Without a fully developed root system, conventional root canal therapy could be difficult or even impossible. However, by harnessing the power of a patient’s own stem cells, pulpal regeneration allows us to restore these teeth to full function.
Resorption
Resorption is a process where a tooth is broken down by the body’s own tissues rather than bacteria, making it less predictable and requiring careful monitoring over time. It can occur internally (inside the tooth) or externally (outside the tooth), and may be minor or extensive, symptomatic or asymptomatic. Treatment options vary widely depending on the precise diagnosis. In many cases, it’s necessary to use our Carestream 9000 3D cone beam CT imaging scanner to accurately assess the extent of the resorption.
